I have been blessed with many wonderful things in my life.  After graduating from Milne, I took a 1 year Accounting course at Albany Business College.  I went to work for the State Dept. and in 1968, my sister, girlfriend and I decided we wanted to move to Calif.  The only thing I regret about that was leaving my parents.  I know that must have been hard on them.   I worked in LA.  One day a very handsome man came in to service our IBM equipment, and we got married a year later.  We lived in Diamond Bar, CA for the first 14 years of our marriage.  We then moved to Austin, TX for my husband's job transfer.  The people in Austin are so nice and it was a great place to raise our two children - Amanda 30 and Craig 27.  I worked for the State of Texas for 14 years.  Jeff and I had always wanted to move back to Calif. after we both retired.  He worked for IBM for 39 years and passed away three years ago. That was a very difficult time for my family and me.  We learned to take it one day at a time.  We were married for thirty years and I would do it all over again!

I moved to Aliso Viejo, CA 1 1/2 years ago.  It is about an hour away from San Diego and  20 minutes from Laguna Beach.  Amanda, her husband and my grandson live nearby.  They are expecting a daughter in November.  Craig moved to Fullerton, CA about a year ago.  It is wonderful being so close to my children.  I also have two sisters that live in LA.

I do volunteer work at our local hospital.  It is so nice meeting people.  The hospital had a luncheon for all the volunteers and I can't believe I was probably the youngest person there at 62!!!!!!  These people are so amazing!  I give them so much credit.
